Terms and Conditions - JEAN INC.
1. Service Scope & Managed Platform Jean Inc. Web Studio operates on a Website-as-a-Service (WaaS) managed model. Our service packages include custom web layout setup, 12 months of high-speed cloud hosting, SSL security, and first-year .co.za domain registration:
Starter Website Plan: R1,000 setup fee (48-hour delivery).
Growth Plan: R1,500 setup fee (48-hour delivery).
Pro Website Plan: R2,000 setup fee (72-hour delivery).
2. Intellectual Property & Domain Ownership The Client retains 100% legal ownership of their registered domain name and business branding at all times. All proprietary site layout frameworks, design code, and agency content on www.jeaninc.co.za remain the intellectual property of Jean Inc. Web Studio until or unless explicitly transferred under a Migration agreement.
3. Annual Renewals, Grace Period & Disconnection
Renewal Invoicing: Renewal invoices are issued 30 calendar days prior to service expiration. Annual renewal rates are itemized as follows:
Starter Plan (R1,000 build): R700 Hosting + R170 Domain (Total: R870/year)
Growth Plan (R1,500 build): R1,200 Hosting + R170 Domain (Total: R1,370/year)
Pro Plan (R2,000 build): R1,700 Hosting + R170 Domain (Total: R1,870/year)
Payment Grace Period: A strict 7-calendar-day grace period applies post-due date.
Service Disconnection: If full payment is not cleared by Day 8 post-due date, website hosting will be suspended and domain pointers disconnected. Your domain name remains safely held in registry redemption.
Reconnection Fee: Reactivating a suspended site requires full invoice settlement plus a flat R350 Reconnection Fee.
4. Off-Boarding & Site Migration If a Client chooses to end service and host elsewhere, the domain name is released and transferred immediately at zero extra charge. Transferring the front-end layout and design code to an external provider requires a complete export, executed for a flat R850 Migration Fee.
5. Maintenance & On-Demand Edits SLA Updates are handled on an on-demand, pay-per-request basis with a 24–48 business hour turnaround upon payment clearance. Requests must be submitted as a single batched list via WhatsApp or email:
Minor Edits (R250): Text tweaks, phone numbers, single price adjustments, or single photo swaps.
Major Edits (R550): New layout sections, custom forms, galleries, or full service overhauls.
6. Hyperlinking & Liability Disclaimer
Hyperlinking: Honest, non-deceptive linking to www.jeaninc.co.za is permitted provided it does not falsely imply sponsorship, endorsement, or approval by Jean Inc. Web Studio.
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Jean Inc. Web Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from website downtime, third-party hosting disruptions, or client-provided website content.
